monday.com raises the bar for new marketplace apps and outlines its review criteria
monday.com is raising the bar for the apps it publishes and promotes in the marketplace, and has described what it looks for when reviewing new submissions.
Going forward, monday.com is primarily looking for apps that meet one or more of these criteria: they fill a meaningful gap in what monday.com covers today, deliver clear value through a strong use case and a tangible benefit for end users, or add AI capabilities that go beyond existing native functionality. Apps that build AI experiences consuming monday.com AI credits are preferred.
Differentiation also counts: monday.com wants to avoid adding apps that mainly replicate functionality already in monday.com, or already well covered by existing marketplace apps. It plans to share a list of the key product gaps and customer needs it currently sees, and pointed developers building AI apps to its update on consuming AI models through monday (API version 2026-10).
